Actress Krysten Ritter is an exciting up and coming young actress. In addition to “Buzzkill”, this summer she worked on the indie film “Frost” with Jason Behr, the studio feature “27 Dresses” with Katherine Heigl, and “What Happens In Vegas. . .” with Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz. She will also be one of the stars of the upcoming “Confessions of a Shopaholic”.
Currently Krysten can be seen on the FOX sitcom “Til Death” playing the daughter of Brad Garrett and Joely Fisher. She has also appeared as the peppy character of Lucy on the hugely popular “Gilmore Girls.” Last season she earned attention for her role as the ditzy and quirky Gia Goodman on the UPN hit series “Veronica Mars.” She has been featured in several other television programs which have showcased her versatility including, “The Bedford Diaries”, “Law & Order”, “Justice”, and “Big Day”. In addition, Krysten has shot pilots for CBS and FOX.
Krysten was only sixteen years old when the legendary Kathy Gould of Elite Model Management scouted her at her hometown mall taking her from a beef farm in Shickshinny, Pennsylvania to the editorial pages of the world’s most prestigious magazines. She traveled the world going from Tokyo to Barcelona, from Milan to London and Paris seeing sights most girls can only imagine at a young age.
With energy to spare and a New York downtown style all her own, Krysten has captured the hearts of many, including director Kenneth Lonergan. He was so taken by her that he wrote her a part in his upcoming film, “Margaret”, which features Anna Paquin, Matt Damon, Matthew Broderick and Mark Ruffalo.
Last summer Krysten made her off Broadway debut in “All This Intimacy” at 2econd Stage Theatre Uptown and received glowing reviews for her performance. When Krysten’s not working she spends her time playing the guitar, taking acting classes, and writing. She is also a member of a rock band called “Ex-Vivian”.
